Facilities

Kennedy Park is approximately 10 acres. Fred Kennedy purchased this park for the city in 1929. Amenities at this park include a pavilion, restrooms, a lighted softball field, parking, a basketball court, two tennis courts, a playground and a walking bridge over Little Blue River. Big hardwood trees accompany a quiet picnic area.

In 2008 Kennedy Park opened a new playground named Kid Connection, which provides a universally accessible play area for children of all abilities and ages.

Rent a Pavilion

Pavilions may be reserved beginning in January for that year. Available dates are April through mid-October (weather permitting).

• 2 hours - $45
• 3/4 hours - $65
• 5 or more hours - $80
