Prior to submitting an application for a Right-Of-Way permit, individuals and contractors must be registered with the City of Shelbyville Engineer's Office as a Right-Of-Way Contractor. Only Right-Of-Way Contractors are able to apply for and obtain Right-Of-Way permits. Registration applications can be found at the bottom of this page. When submitted, applications need to be fully completed and should be accompanied with the following items:

1. Registration Fee of $50
2. Certificate of General Liability Insurance
3. An original, signed $10,000 Surety Bond made payable to "The City of Shelbyville"

Note: Both the surety bond and certificate of insurance must have expiration dates printed on them, to ensure they are valid.
